EAST Africa Television (EATV) today launches a revolutionary show in the entertainment known as 5 Live at Shoppers Plaza, Dar es Salaam.
Following the January launch of its radically new season, the station now introduces a groundbreaking live show to be hosted by Bobby Mongi.
5 Live will be shot and aired every weekday at 6 pm from Shoppers Plaza, according to EATV Public Relations Officer Diana Nyaki.
Bobby will be accompanied by DJ Bush Baby of East Africa Radio, as the two interact with a live studio audience.
While the studio is indoors within the plaza, Dar es Salaam viewers will be able to see and recognise the background hustle and bustle of the neighbourhood’s rush hour traffic below.
From the ground, passers-by will be able to look up and catch sight of the host, audience members and studio activity during the shooting.
5 Live promises to be highly interactive via SMS, phone-ins and e-mail, all of which will be received live.
The driving concept behind the show is to deliver an entertaining and informative viewing experience, with special guests including artists, public figures and other people involved in current affairs.
5 Live will highlight current events and the social issues affecting people at most.
In addition to daily guests, 5 Live features include a topic of the day, live polls and music videos.
Viewers who wish to call in during the show should dial 0743 500 000. Viewers can also send text messages via SMS to 0743 500 005 or send emails to live@eatv.tv.
As of this week, Channel 5/East Africa Television is available on Channel 26 UHF.
